30 - Responding in the Moment

Welcome to The Meditation Podcast with Jesse and Jeane Stern. Episode 30, Responding in the Moment. Find us online at The Meditation Podcast dot com.

Many of us have developed habits based on past experience. As we create our view of the world, such habits can keep us safe and allow us to perform complex actions.

However, by their nature, habits utilize a limited range of motion, which can trap us in a less-than-full life experience, and can lead to physical tension, anger, depression, insomnia, stress, writer's block, and overly aggressive or overly passive behavior.

Today's meditation guides us toward the release of old habits by expanding our consciousness, and toward responding creatively in the moment. Responding in the moment can help us free ourselves from reacting to situations based on our past experience. It can help us fully enjoy the way we experience movement, everyday life, social interactions, even driving a car or playing a musical instrument.
